Valley-Wide Cultural Events

A diverse number of cultural and educational activities offered throughout the valley provide a welcome respite from all that outdoor activity. While we may be located in the middle of a mountain rage, the Vail Valley offers world-class performances for people of all ages and interests.

Performing Arts: Catch year-round ballet performances, Broadway musical revivals, concerts, family entertainment, comedy or dance performances at the Vilar Performing Arts Center in Beaver Creek. Enjoy a free outdoor concert in downtown Vail Village or take in a classical orchestra at the Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater, which boasts gorgeous views, outdoor seating and natural acoustics.

Galleries: Stroll the pedestrian-friendly cobblestone streets of Vail Village or Beaver Creek Village and take in the dozens of art galleries located throughout the valley. Study fine art, natural art and original sculptures by nationally and internationally recognized artists. Vail Valley art galleries are home to an eclectic collection of artwork spanning from classical to modern.

Education: While you're here, it's easy to learn something and have fun too. The Vail Valley offers a multitude of educational programs for both visitors and locals alike to the area. Many local nonprofit organizations offer family-friendly programs for free or at a discounted cost. Enjoy award-winning films with the annual Vail Film Festival, learn about the local flora and fauna with Walking Mountains Science Center or take in the world's highest botanical gardens at the Betty Ford Alpine Gardens.
