Betty Ford Alpine Gardens

The Betty Ford Alpine Gardens are a public botanic garden curating a fully documented collection of high elevation plants. Explore and enjoy our stunning mountain garden situated high in the Rocky Mountains. In the shadow of Colorado's Gore Range, the assortment of perennial beds, rock gardens and waterfalls dramatically display an astonishing array of the world's most unique and beautiful high elevation plants.

Regularly Scheduled Summer Programs

Guided Tours - Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 10:30 am, $5 per person. Offered Memorial Day through Labor Day

Garden Volunteer Days - Mondays & Thursdays 9:00 am to Noon. Help maintain the Gardens and learn about high altitude plants by volunteering. Gloves and tools provided.

Children's Learn & Grow - Monday through Thursday 9:00 am – 12:00 pm, Drop-in activities recommended for ages 5 – 10. $5 per child. Program is offered from the end of June through August.

Treasure Hunt in the Gardens - Self-guided activity engages young minds to discover the Gardens. First clue is available at the Schoolhouse Gift Shop.

Yoga in the Gardens – Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays, 9:00-10:15 am, $12 per person. Connect with nature through Vinyasa yoga in Vail’s most beautiful location. Yoga classes beginning of June and run through August.

Chefs in the Gardens - Live cooking demonstrations from local restaurant chefs every Thursday beginning in the middle of July through the middle of August. $5 per person.

Bluegrass in the Gardens - Wednesday 1:00 – 2:00 pm, July 1, 15, 29, August 12, 2015. National acclaimed and regional talent perform family friendly afternoon concerts.

Classes in photography, painting and horticultural therapy available throughout the summer.
